Fundraiser: King George Confederate Monument of Valor
Our Camp is collecting donations for the production of a monument to the fallen soldiers from King George County in the War Between the States, stone markers to be placed in the HistoryLand Cemetery in King George around the current Monument which was removed from the King George Courthouse and placed at the cemetery in 2024. All donations are tax-deductible in accordance with the law. To contribute, please mail a check to the following address:

April 11th or 12th (TBD): King George Confederate Monument of Valor, Service for the Confederate dead at Historyland Memorial Park. Talk: Little Known Facts that Preceded the Firing on Ft. Sumter.
April 16-17, 2026: Gun salute /Taps on the 16th at the Fredericksburg Confederate Cemetery, and Presentation at the Mule Shoe on the 17th, ending at the Spotsylvania Cemetery with a gun salute and Taps
April 27th, 2026: Ancestor Night with the Fredericksburg UDC at the Chancellor Ruritan Building on Rt. 3. at 5:30PM – 8PM
Thursday May 21, 2026, 6PM: Place flags at the Confederate cemetery in Spotsylvania Cemetery
May 25, 2026: Memorial Day event at the Spotsylvania Confederate Cemetery. Cook-out, speaker, parade, artillery and cannon salute. 1PM to twilight.
September 11, 12 & 13, 2026: Somerset Gas & Steam Engine Association.
October 10, 2026: Cedar Creek Battlefield, event support for Commander of 7th Virginia
October 17 & 18, 2026: Cedar Creek Battle Re-enactment support TBD
