The 1607 Project: Virginia First is a recent undertaking by Brion McLanahan and the Abbeville Institute. Their film of the same name is a sweeping review of the true political history of the founding of Virginia and the United States, debunking historical myths such as the “Proposition Nation.” It places Virginia squarely at the center of our culture, political events and the founding ideals of the United States.
